[Ham-Computers] Do LCD monitor displays get "dingy" or faded looking?

Thank you Ron,

IF I could find them, I could probably replace the lamps as I'm a retired 
electronic tech.  But it's probably not cost effective, considering how the 
prices have dropped since I bought this one.  I'll just live with it until 
it dies a slow death.  I DO like this monitor, it has an internal PS rather 
than a brick, when I bought it I took a portable shortwave with me to make 
sure it was "RF QUIET".  I had tried a couple CRT monitors that were so 
trashy they went right back to the store, unlike the OLD HP monitor that was 
heavily shielded inside).
