Kurt, please keep us posted on what you finally decide to do, then the steps you used, and finally how it works for you.  I'd appreciate knowing the parameters: the hard drive capacity of the laptop, the CPU speed and those sorts of technical things.  If you maintain the same subject line, your material will archive for use by others in the future.

I have possible access to an vintage laptop that may have space available to do what you have in mind, and I'm very curious what you find.
