Hello,

I just wanted to relate a problem I had starting Monday night with getting a connection to the internet.

Monday night my internet was running slow to nothing and Tuesday morning I couldn't get anywhere.

After getting home from work yesterday evening I started troubleshooting my system and thought I have lost the net on everything. I took the router out and hooked my problem computer directly to the cable modem. No matter what I did I couldn't get anywhere. I called the IP and they had me run some commands and try pinging and said it must be a software problem with the computer.

I proceeded to try my laptop after resetting the cable modem and got online fine.

I tried the problem computer this morning and could not connect.

I was ready to go buy another network card and see if that was the problem and thought I would try one more thing. Maybe some updated had gotten corrupted so I decided to try a system restore. After all my computer worked like last Friday so I chose that as the restore point.

I did the restore and thank God I am sending this e-mail with what was a problem computer but is now working fine.
