Some or all of you may find that this link leads to an interesting PCMag article:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2704,1960153,00.asp

In the article the author introduces SurfSpeed2, a free download that appears to me to be an independent way to determine whether the download and upload speeds represented by your ISP are true and accurate. In addition, because as the article points out, your data is compiled by PCMag's staff, you'll be able to see whether a particular ISP in one state is providing the same, better or worse service in another state. Apparently you will also be able to see whether your service is consistent during morning, noon and night.

Any reactions? Would you try it? Why or why not?

John
