Well I don't preach Linux.
Linux is not for everyone.
But if you or anyone else want to try it or convert to Linux from some
other OS then I try to give some good alternative distros. What most
ppl don't understand is that all Linux distros have the same kernel as
an engine. The only real difference between the distros is what window
manager there using and what type of configuration setup there is. Now
some distros are easier for a new comer than others, some are for a
seasoned user.
I am a Slackware nut, but I also like the Debian system.
So because I prefer easy setup and a computer that just works I have
chosen to stick with Ubuntu.
Now there are alot of Ubuntu variants, but I prefer Gnome for a window
manager instead of KDE or XFCE etc.
If anyone wants to converse off list about Linux you are more than
welcome to email me off list.
