Actually that is not correct.
When I was a VP at a small college I used Linux exclusively
until a nerd in the business office who pretended to understand
technology forced through a policy mandating that everyone use
only MS.
I am the Associate Senior Pastor of a church and use Linux
exclusively for all of my needs including E-mail, web access
and web design, audio and video, word processing, photo editing,
PDF's, Bible study, etc.
It is a rare business, individual, or organization indeed who
*cannot* run under Linux alone. Ignorance and billions spent
in MS and Apple marketing are the most common reasons for
limited Linux adoption ... and that is changing rapidly around
the world.
Google is investing in Linux because they are in competition
with Microsoft on a number of fronts.
Last I knew Home Depot runs their entire operation from
POS to inventory to corporate communications exclusively
using Linux.
Wikipedia documents Linux well but QTH.NET thinks that
quoting Wikipedia = spam. Sigh.
