[Ham-Computers] Disk image question

    Has anyone successfully used any of the free disk image programs 
available, such as Clone Maxx or Selfimage? My goal is to be able to 
image my C (main) hard drive onto my D (backup) drive on a regular 
basis, so that if the main fails, I can put everything back to the way 
it was without having to re-install everything first.

    A subset of this question is, will the resulting back-up hard drive 
then be bootable?
