Aaron,

Alright, now that we have established that "deltree" still works with XP
Home Edition once copied to the C:\ root, back to my original question.

Can I safely delete the 44 sub-directories within the C:\ root temp
directory along with the temp directory itself? Then just recreate a new
temp directory using:
MD temp, press "enter".

The temp directory currently has 508 files in it, plus whatever lurks inside
the 44 sub-directories. About 5 Meg total. Give or take a Meg!
