I'm sure that I did pay but like most packaged sets, the major items weren't
broken out separately. I would pursue it but as it happens last year I bought
3 copies of XP professional (while Microcenter still had them) for our three
machines. To be installed when I had to. But for AV & firewall we switched
to McAfee because it's free from our ISP, Comcast, and as McAfee unlike Norton
still runs under W2K, "had to" hasn't yet arrived. So when my wife recovers
enough that she can go back to using her machine I'll install one of the three
XP Pro's on the laptop and not waste any time fighting with Gateway.
