Most likely, they're stand-alone virii/trojans of some sort and can be safely deleted. Post a list of the items in quarantine and one of us can give you a better idea.

Subject: [Ham-Computers] AVG healing/repairing infected files

Greetings from the bottom end of the Africa Continent.

I am trying-out Free AVG ver 8.0.1 and found some infected files. To my horror these were all .exe files and the scan quarantained these files.

The help file does not help very much with procedures for healing/repairing these exe files. I was under the impression that AVG would repair/heal the infected file and only quarantaine files with unknown infections.

Any ham with experience to share ?
