[Ham-Computers] Using an LCD monitor - upside-down

Anyone happen to know if an LCD flat-panel monitor can be used
upside-down without harming it? Here's why.....
The stand my monitor came with has a leg that protrudes down about
three inches beyond the screen down to the base that supports it. As
usually happens, the monitor is just about three inches too high for
comfortable viewing. Since that lower leg is part of the screen
assembly, it can't be removed, so that using the wall-mount option on
the back of the monitor won't actually lower it any. If, however, I turn
the monitor upside-down, I can lower it the three inches I need. My
graphics card supports a 180 degree rotation, and my trackball can also
be "reversed". The only issue remaining is if operating an LCD in that
position does any harm.
Thanks in advance!
