Actually, as I recall the first commercially available may have been a 
full-height 5-1/4" form factor 5 MB in the early model IBM PC.  The first one I 
bought was 10 MB. also 5-1/4 full-height.  The first ones I bought in quantity 
were half-height 1 GB.  I bought 20 of them at one time in a Tricord.  Maybe 
Aaron has heard of them.  Unlikely any of the others on this list have.  Total 
cost in excess of $100K.  For a brief period, we had the largest storage array in 
Houston.  Larger than out at JSC.
