OK.  Then the only other suggestion I would have (bearing in mind I have no 
idea what the software you're running does) would be to try to find the .TMP 
file during the period that it exists and copy it somewhere else.  This might or 
might not work as the running software might have the file locked so that 
only it can do anything with the file.
