Use firefox and there is an extension called Get Flash that will allow u to download youtube videos. And other flash videos on a lot of other sites.

Looking for a way to save files from YouTube.

I found the temp file from the video I watched, it was fla2B.tmp, tried
everything I could think of, the browser had a death grip on it and wouldn't
let me save or move it.  As soon as I closed the browser page, it was
deleted.

Is there a way to save them?

I found a website where you can put the link of the file in and it will
provide a download button, I would VERY much prefer to not use a third party
system, but a basic transfer program, something similar to CuteFTP if
anyhting exists.

Any ideas?
