Hi Brian,
I'm glad you have sent your message to the list. Recently, in trying to
upgrade SPYBOT, it appeared to install up until
the final step when the following error signal came up:
"Error creating registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Safer NetworkingLimited/SpybotSnD/Timestamp/
RegCreateKeyEX failed, code 1009
The configuration registry database is corrupt.
Check Retry to try again, Ignore to proceed anyway, or Abort to cancel
installation.
Abort Retry Ignore"
Clicking "Ignore" doesn't work!
I have susupected Spybot is the culprit but I am not knowledgable about
computers so can't figgure it out!
I am going to uninstall Spybot if I can but don't know how to repair the
registry database.
I have both AVG free version and Adaware. I run Adaware almost daily. AVG is
automatic.
Pray tell, where do I get a copy of Superantispyware if they offer a free
trial version?
Take care,
Ken N5CM
