[Ham-Computers] More misery!

when this has happenes to me, I use the task manager (control-alt-delete) to
see what is running I dont know about...  if I shut down applications,
scandisk runs fine... also, check your taskbar (where clock is)... usually
icons shown there represent aps that are indeed running  (but try the task
manager first!)

there is also a utility called Process Explorer that will let you know what
is running, even in the background, on your computer..
