To adjust the size of the Command Prompt font, open start the Command Prompt, then click on the upper left mini-icon of the Command Prompt -> Properties. On the "Font" tab, select the font type and size you wish to use. You may also wish to change the buffer size of the Command Prompt so you can scroll back at previous commands/output - this setting is in the "Layout" tab under "Screen Buffer Size" -> Height (I have mine set to 900). You can also change the window size here in terms of width (rows) by height (columns).
When you click "OK", it will ask if you want to just affect the existing Command Prompt window or if you want to save the settings - your choice. The "save" only affects the shortcut you used to open the Command Prompt...if you have multiple Command Prompt shortcuts, you'll need to change them all. I believe if you started the Command Prompt from the "run" line, then a .PIF will be created to save the settings.

Subject: [Ham-Computers] DOS Window Character Size
Aaron,
About 2-1/2 years ago, you reminded me of how to independantly adjust the size or contents of a DOS window under W2K without changing the basic monitor resolution. Can you refresh it again. I've beaten most of this reinstallation into submission but that one once again excapes me.
