Dell Latitude D400 Questions

1.  Anyone have a spare cd-rw/dvd drive w/case
and cable they'd sell or swap?  (I need one for
a D400 I recently received in a trade.)

2.  Any advice as to what to do about a badly
scratched D400 WinXP Pro Reinstallation CD?
(I'd like to dual-boot this machine but the
CD provided was really abused.  I tried to copy
it to a HDD under Linx and received 119 errors!)

3.  Anyone tried USB booting Linux on a D400?
(I know Puppy Linux offers this and understand
there are others.)
