Well Dave, I've never cared for Gateway computers.
Called them up a few years ago to get some schematics on a monitor, and
all the guy could ask was "where did you get that?", my response was
what does it matter.
As for your power supply, you might do a search cause I think there are
adapters out there to adapt normal power supplies to proprietary
hardware such as your Gateway, Dell is another one that was famous for
using a odd ball connector on there motherboards.
I don't know if a 250 watt power supply is enough to just power the
motherboard, you could also make your own adaptor if you could get a
molex connector that your new power supply could plug into and find a
mating molex for the existing motherboard connector, and then make sure
that your wire it properly.
Of course I've been know to unsolder the wiring inside the power supply
to adapt a new one to an odd proprietary connector.
