Dave,
If the CD drive is IDE, reconfigure it to be Drive 1 instead of Drive 0. If
the cable going to it only has one drive connector, buy a standard cable. You
might also need to buy a wye-cable for the power if there isn't an unused
plug inside. Be sure the IDE HD is set as Drive 0, plug everything in and go
into Setup and see what the machine sees.
