[Ham-Computers] failure to copy

I agree with John et al.  Part of the reason I bought our first Nikon was 
that I no longer had to plug the entire camera into the computer but could plug 
the flash card into a reader and treat it like any other drive.  Plus it took 
about an hour to transfer 100 photos because the interface was serial.  Now we 
transfer 500+ in 6 or 8 minutes.  I keep a USB extension cable plugged into 
the rear of the computer with the socket end taped to the top of the UPS.  Newer 
cases tend to have front panel mounted USB sockets.
