Puppy Linux will run using a USB memory stick as the
HDD, though I believe it executes in memory (it is a
very small and tightly coded OS).
You may load a ton of apps, including Ham apps, on the
same USB stick and run them as well. Nothing proprietary.
Is that what you were thinking of?
