Hi Duane,

Thank you for the info.

I went back and double checked everything.  So as to keep the program 
running, all power saving is disabled in the BIOS.  Since the machine is 
booted from the floppy disk, Win 95 isn't loaded at all, so the windows 
power saving and "NEC utilities" are not loaded at all.  Since the video DID 
work for at least a couple of weeks after starting use as a keyer, I'm 
pretty sure it's a hardware failure somewhere.  It 'seems' to run pretty 
cool with the lid closed, but it was mentioned that there was perhaps some 
heat build-up inside that caused a failure.
