This thread is of interest so I think I will ask of question or two.  I hope others with a similar interest will also join the thread.

I'm neither pro nor con with respect to Microsoft.  May be best player win!  However, as on old dBase IV user I know that the exact same, raw database written in dBase IV without indices and bells and whistles has a file size ten times smaller than the equivalent Access97 file size.  This fact of life I assume is caused by GUI versus MS-DOS 5.

Someone remarked that FP tended to add things to the code, so they stopped using it before they started.  That interests me, and may be a clue.  What things are added?  How would I be able to tell they were added?

Dreamweaver has been touted as "better" than FP, whatever than means.  But those who are now commencing their Vista experience find many issues when they attempt to use those two.  Anyone have experience in using FP or Dreamweaver with XP for those of us who have no plan now to leave that OS?
