I don't use it, but a semi-blind friend used it.  Maybe this is what you
saw:

Look in Windows XP, Start, All Programs, Accessories, Accessibility,
"Magnifier".  Some other assistance functions there.

Recently I saw someone using a zoom feature in Windows. They used a hot key
or combination and enlarged the document they were working with, like the
zoom in .pdf but apparently they could use it in several programs. Anybody
know anything about it?
