[Ham-Computers] IE and the internet

Hello friends,

I just bought a computer from my son and IE does not see an internet 
connection but Mozilla does. I am using Mozilla right now. I get a Page not 
found with IE and it says it does not have a connection to the internet. 
What should I look for to resolve the problem? I am running XP.
