[Ham-Computers] Re ISA and PCI Slots

Hi All,

Was the longer slot the ISA slot on the Windows 95 and 98 machines?

I know that the long slot is gone and that is the one that I need for the
DECTALK PC synthetic speech card.

FYI: All of the adaptive hardware prior to 2000 used serial and parallel
ports, none used USB. The speech and scanner boards were also for the most
part ISA, although I think the HP black/white flatbed HP3 scanner did use
the PCI slot.

Is there any 'practical' way to use the long card with the current machines?

Thank you.
