[Ham-Computers] App's that don't use a USB mouse - what should I do?

That's a nice tip, but I have an opposite problem.  New computers 
don't have PS/2 or serial ports, but some app's run from a bootable 
floppy or CD's that don't provide USB support.  Your mouse is 
inoperative - and I guess keyboard too since both are USB devices.

I intend to install a new hard drive on a new computer with no PS/2 
ports, and first must use the drive installation CD - which does not 
have USB support.  I have a workaround - I'll use the drive install 
app with the drive installed in an old computer, and then put the 
drive in a new computer and boot from my Windows XP disk - but 
suppose I didn't have an old PC available?
