[Ham-Computers] Virtual in Vista

If we had in mind to install XP-Professional or XP-Home Edition, along with Windows 98 Second Edition in Vista, which version of Vista would we be well advised to consider?

It goes without saying that we should have *lots* of hard drive storage and a *minimum* of 2GB of RAM.

Even so, I suspect there would be some latency even with a fast CPU.

Trying to install the OEM version of any XP or W98SE that came with our existing computers would surely not work, so you would have to have a fully licensed version.  What are some recognized and legitimate sources for those OS?
