[Ham-Computers] Can't Connect to Internet-fixed

I had router problems. It confused me, as it worked for one computer
and not the other - both connected to different ports on the router.
Changing ports didn't make a difference. Resetting it by pushing the
reset "button" or removing power from the router or even using the
setup disk didn't fix the problem.

Aaron's tip led me in the correct direction. Years ago, I decided I
needed a router to connect two computers to my Cox ISP without paying
an additional fee. I won't say networking, since I didn't attempt to
go from computer to computer until recently. I had lock-up issues,
but didn't realize the problem and purchased an additional router
while fumbling around. It has been handy for trouble shooting from
time to time, and I used it this time. Unfortunately I'm down to one
good router now.

I used poor terminology in part of my post, and should have said
integrated LAN card instead of modem.

Is this post the first activity today? I checked qth.net archives,
but unfortunately no recent posts are available. I didn't see any
comments about bounces, so maybe activity is low.
