Speaking of Ghost, I run it on our main machine here set to do backups every
12 hours, two full's a week and incrementals at the other points. We also use
PC Tools' SpyWare Doctor. If SD is running, Ghost does the backups fine.
But Ghost (the foreground program where you set up backups, etc.) won't start if
SD is running.
I learned this the hard way. I wanted to temporarily restore some file to
check something but couldn't get Ghost to come up. After figuring out the file
problem in another way, I uninstalled and reinstalled Ghost, and of course had
to set up the backups again but missed one step. And while doing the install
and setup I had turned off SD. Six or seven days later one of the backup
drives ran out of drive space and when I remembered the missed step, couldn't get
Ghost to come up again. Had a random access inspiration, killed SD, and
Ghost came up fine.
