No one says you can't use more than one filter. There are a number of
them available at no cost. I used to use Spam Assassin on linux, which
has been used in a number of free Win spam filters.
One of my providers uses a commercial service called Postini. It's
frighteningly accurate but not available
One really great option would be Thunderbird. In fact, I'm typing from
it now (linux version - can't you tell?). It's available on most
platforms. The spam detection is pretty good out of the box, plus it
`learns' well as you train it. You can set it to move the spam to one
folder, which you can then delete wholesale if you like.
