The problem with Unix and Linux is that there are more mutually incompatible
versions than there are computers on the planet. I was going to try Linux
once upon a time. After I got up to 40 versions to decide between, I said F-it
and went back to NT. I'll bet that of all the people on this list running some
version of Linux, there are no more than five running the same version. MS
is bad enough with 6 versons in common current use.

The only reason Linux appears to be secure is that no hacker would waste his,
her or it's time to try to break into the 25 or 30 computers running that
particular version.
