Update re. running apps for MS versions of windows
via WINE under Linux.

Just loaded WINE under Puppy Linux and then loaded
the WinXP scanner program for my Uniden BR330T
scanner.

It loaded and functions perfectly!

The advantage is that Puppy Linux is tiny and will
run on very old hardware.  It will also load and
run off a CD or a USB stick or a CF/SD card -- and
you don't have to have it write anything to the HDD.

I am off to see about loading a bunch of other Ham
apps!
