You could upgrade to Puppy Linux with WINE.
Puppy will dual-boot with most any of the MS versions
of windows.
WINE, under Puppy Linux, will allow you to run most apps
written for MS without having to even load MS.
Puppy may be booted from a CD and not load anything
to the HDD unless you tell it to save files there,
it can save files to a re-writable CD.
Puppy may also be loaded from a USB memory stick
or a SD card and others, saving files to the same
memory device and leaving nothing on the HDD.
I am just experimenting with the latest version of
WINE and hope to start running Ham apps written for
MS under Puppy Linux.
