Why? The audio is not going to be very good Don.

You do not need a tuner. All you need is a stereo patch cord with male RCA 
plugs on both ends. About $5 from RS for a six foot patch cord.

Plug the one set of plugs into the "audio line out" on the back of the 
computer. Plug the other end of this patch cord into any unused "line input" 
jacks on the back of the amplifier. Be sure to keep the polarity the same, 
that is, positive to positive and negative to negative!

Select the input jacks you plug the patch cord into from the front of the 
stereo amplifier by whatever selects your "input", most cases a knob: tuner, 
tape, phono, CD, Aux. etc.

If you wanted to tape record or burn using an external CDRW unit, the be 
sure the "Output Select" knob or whatever your amplifier uses to make the 
selection, matches what is already selected with the amplifier "Input 
Select".

Don, please do not be offended, but this is a very simple procedure to do. 
If you have doubts, have a friend who is familiar with stereo equipment stop 
by. He can show you how to connect the one stereo patch cord between the 
computer and your stereo amplifier or stereo receiver. Take notes. Be sure 
the polarity is correct. Then the next time you will have a better idea as 
to the reasons why, and how, the cables should be connected.
