[Ham-Computers] Speed... (was RE: Avoid one of the "Critical"Windows Updates...)

"If you are running Win98, hopefully you're using "Second Edition".  If
so, make sure that you run a Windows Update or download all the
available patches soon...I believe official "extended" support from
Microsoft ends this month - this means no more patches of any kind."

How can I donwload the patches and save them so when my computer crashes in
two years I can re-update when the updates are no longer available?  I
recently re-installed everything on my computer and though I have the 400 KB
ie6 "install", I have to download a 12+ MB file that runs automatically.
I'd rather have it on disk and save the two hour download each time.
