Also make sure what CAS Latency the system is configured for. Many
PC100 systems require memory with a CAS Latency of 2 (CL2) and will not
work with modules with a latency of 3 (CL3). Many new "generic" RAM
modules for PC100 systems are actually PC133 modules at CL3 as the older
PC100 spec chips are not readily available. Some PC133 CL3 components
will work at CL2 at the slower PC100 rate, but not all do. Just make
sure the memory you get is certified for PC100 @ CL2 if your system
requires it.
