[Ham-Computers] Firewall & AntiVirus Packages

Robert,
I had a similar issue at one of my clients, a small office with a Win2003SB
server and 10 workstations, with a single-point
administration/distribution. Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition with the
necessary number of licenses would have been really expensive, so after some
investigation I decided for using Grisoft AVG Network edition as it had
really nice features - besides the later editions of NAV are not as stable
as the older versions used to be, and many installations fail and its a pain
in the neck to clean up after a failed installation...).
The cost of AVG was almost half of that of NAV, the license is for 2 years,
subscription renewal is 50% of the initial cost (2 years also). It has a
remote installation/update feature, you push the installation to all the
workstations on the network from one central location. The package also has
a firewall option.
I'm happy with it...
