[Ham-Computers] Detecting moochers

Hello,

Does anyone know how you would be able to tell if someone else was using 
your wireless network like a neighbor?

I am using a Belkin Wireless Router and have considered going to a complete 
wired syatem instead. I know that outsiders could slow down your system but 
wondered if there was another way.

I thought about shutting down my system and listening to 2.4 Ghz with a 
receiver to see if there were signals locally.
