Hello Don,
Traveling. You do not need to give details, but in the USA and or her
territories? How about South America or Europe? If responding to the entire
list troubles you, reach me direct at:
dfischer at usol.com
If you are fairly familiar with the hardware and software operation of your
desktop unit, (I am talking about technical Don, not Compaq Vs Del or
Gateway etc.), then you can do what you want with a minimum of difficulty.
If you are not very familiar, then I would encourage you to get some help
from somebody who "KNOWS" what he/she is doing. Not says so, but truly does
know! The only loser here will be you Don, so protect yourself by being sure
the person doing the work is truly capable.
Because I am totally blind, I have my own ways and methods of doing these
things. Some are the same as a sighted person would use, others are of my
own creation and designed without the need for vision. They may or may not
work for you. Confusion is not something you want to have happen doing a
data transfer Don! Since I am positive that several subscribers to this
list, who can see, and are more than capable of doing exactly what you need
to do can assist you better than I may be able to do, I will defer to them.
If for some reason they are all in Hawaii checking out the lonsome young
ladies, soaking up some golden rays, sipping those tropical fruit punch
drinks (which I am told pack quite a punch too!) or hiding in a cave with
their laptop avoiding humanity for a few days, let me know and I will help
you by telephone.
So gentlemen, help Don out here! Thank you.
DBF
