Amen.
Outlook 2000 has no option to shut off HTML mail. You can send text by
default but it will not disable incoming HTML.
I get around this most of the time by using Evolution, an Outlook clone
that runs under linux.
It's much more difficult to spread viruses in plain text email (but my
coworkers would find a way).
Sorry, Duane, but I don't have too much experience with Outlook Express.
Have you done any Microsoft updates lately? Some of the security
updates can have weird effects on the programs.
If hyperlinks don't work globally, check to make sure they're still
associated with your browser (Explorer?). Is it possible that plain
text disables hyperlinking (it doesn't in Outlook 2k).
To be thorough, are you clicking on the links in the original message?
If you click on links in a reply, they could go missing due to quoting.
Is this new? When did this behavior start? What was the last thing you
added or removed before it started? Don't you think the computer would
sound so much better with a couple of tubes in it?
