This often occurs if a program was "copied" from one computer to another
rather than installing it from an installer. It can also occur if
another DLL/application was installed that superceeds or replaces the
original DLL. A corrupted DLL or application component might also cause
this.
The best way to fix this is to reinstall the application. This will
ensure that the DLL is properly registered and that it's not corrupt.
Another option is to manually register the DLL by using Windows'
"regsvr32" utility (2K/XP). This needs to be done at a command prompt
and usually while in the directory where the DLL is. The basic command
is "regsvr32 nameofdll". Generally, it's best to try to unregister a
DLL prior to re-registering it. To unregister a DLL, use "regsvr32 /u
nameofdll".
A question for you is, what application are you trying to run that
requires mmcndmgr.dll? This DLL is associated with the Microsoft
Management Console (MMC) in Win2K/XP. The MMC allows you to manage
various aspects of a Windows system via a standardized interface.
"Snap-ins" are modules designed for use in the MMC. For example,
"Computer Management", the "Device Manager", "Local Group Policy",
"Local Users and Groups" are examples of snap-ins for the MMC. If you
right-click on "My Computer" and select "Manage", does the "Computer
Management" console startup properly? How about the "Device Manager"?
If these are working, then it would seem that the MMC is funtioning
properly and something might be up with the app you're trying to run.

What
does this mean and what can I do to solve this problem?
