Gene,
Check that remote again. Most "universal" remotes I've seen have a button to select AUX input. Often, it's the same button used to turn the VCR's RF modulator on/off if you're using channel 3 (or 4) for the VCR. aka the "TV/Video" or "TV/VCR" button.
And, depending on the TV, some use an unused channel number for the AUX input. Some Sony's use channel 0 for AUX. My old RCA set uses channels 91 and 92 for AUX1 and AUX2.
As to connecting your PC to your TV, you'll need a TV converter box (or card) unless your PC's video card already has a TV-out jack (usually S-VHS or composite video). Max usable resolution on a standard TV is 352x240 although you can try to squeeze 640x480 and 800x600. What usually ends up happening is that you get a fuzzy picture with completely unreadable text (normal sized text). Movies and pictures look OK, but forget any type of text editing! A common use for TV out is for picture slide shows, video editing (to see what the actual output is like), PowerPoint presentations, PVR (aka PC Tivo), etc. Wouldn't recommend it as a replacement for a hi-res monitor.

Loren:
Thanks for the info.
The biggest problem is that I do not have the original remote control for
the TV - I am using a universal and there is no way to switch to 'video
mode'.
Any ideas????
