[Ham-Computers] Internet Explorer 7.0

I upgraded to IE 7.0 as soon as it came out and have not experienced any
problems with it. I did not wait to switch since I read that it is much
more secure than IE 6 was.

What I have noticed though on software in general, all new software seems to
require a lot more RAM than older software. I was using Spysweeper for
several years but when their last upgrade came out my machine began to
crawl. I spent several weeks troubleshooting till I determined that this
latest change of Spysweeper required 528 Meg of RAM to run properly! I only
had 256 Meg of RAM in my computer so had to revert back to their older
version as recommended by their Tech guy. Needless to say, I did not renew
my subscription.

Not sure how much RAM you are running in your computer but I am finding that
256 Meg is no longer sufficient. I just bought a new computer with 1 Gig of
RAM and that machine just screams when compared to my old laptop. So keep
that in mind whenever upgrading any program. As memory got cheaper, the
programmers got lazier and the new programs require a lot more memory to
operate well.
