You can try a tiny screwdriver to pry it ever so slightly.
Perhaps an improvised set of pliers or lockjaws that will gently grip 
the ends of the cable.

If that doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.  Maybe a pair of scissors.


If all else fails, I find there's no problem so big or small that it 
can't be solved with Cee Four  :)
