Subject: Re: [Ham-Computers] Internet access on the road
I use Sprint PCS. my cell phone is $30 and for an extra $10 I get
UNLIMITED internet access that does NOT reduce my cell phone time. It
is high speed digital, something no other phone company offers. In
fact I am using it right now to post this to the list with my laptop.
The laptop is connected by a simple cable (that incidentaly also
charges the battery on the phone) to the USB port and to the Sanyo
4900 cell phone. Thecable has to be purchased from a third party
vendor...NO, it is not illegal....Sprint just does not sell the cable.
They are plentiful on E Bay however. Be careful and get the service
that allows UNLIMITED time as if you get the one that uses your cell
phone minutes it will cost you a FORTUNE in over time charges.
