Hi,

I received so many replies to my questions I'm going to take the liberty 
of doing a "mass THANK YOU" to everyone who helped.

Apparently so long as I'm running the Zone alarm with it's security 
cranked as tight as it'll go, I'll be OK. It makes me feel a little 
better, though I DO PLAN on eventually adding a hardware router with 
firewall just to be on the safe side.  But as usual, funds are a big 
concern, what with having to buy the full blown ZA package etc (for some 
reason the free basic version wouldn't let me network my two computers 
together).
