Dear Jeff,
I was trying to compleet the list. The Celeron is an good CPU for a
affordable price.
There is only one problem, don't overload them with tasks..
Timex isn't Sinclair.
The ZX-80 and 81 also ZX-spectrum are Sinclair. (evenso the silly
electro-bike, his time far ahead).
not x86 are also:
Atari game computers
the SX family (trying to get an standard against commodore)
Sinclaire (indeed personal computers)
for (z80 based CPU) zx-81 mem expansion card from 1 Kb to 8 KB costs 400
Dutch guilders that time
for (z80 based CPU) zx-spectrum from mem expansion card 16 KB to 48 KB also
costs 400 Dutch guilders
Commodore 16
Commodore 64 (6510 based CPU)
Commodore 128 (?? based CPU)
Commodore Amiga 500 (?? based CPU)expansion card from 0,5 Mb to 1 MB costs
400 Dutch guilders
at the moment, you can buy memorie 256 MB for about 80 Euro (about 100 US$)
time flies...

(trying to remember) Not necessarily x86:
Altair/IMSAI
SWTPC
Pet
PC Jr
Amstrad
Timex (Sinclair?)
My parents bought me a TRS-80 but we got the high-end upgrade - 4k to
16k of memory! ($999, I think)
Then there were the TRS Model Ones. (Visicalc!)
the RS Color Computers.

Aak.... Celery processors!
It might just be me, but I can *hear* those things huffing and puffing,
almost saying "I think I can.... I *think* I can..."
