Do you have your Laser printer setup to "SHARE"? If she is in the same
"workgroup", she should be able to print on your Laser from her pc. This way she
can save her own email files on her pc.

Subject: [Ham-Computers] Where do they go?

Hi,

Just a quick one or two questions here. Simple home network, This
machine running XP Pro, Wifes machine running Win98se, both connected
via router to the DSL modem.

The Laser printer is on this machine (XP Pro). My wife only uses her
machine for Email and an occasional "look-see" at something on the web.
No Printer.

I can access any files on her machine from this machine, defrag her
drive, virus scan it, transfer files to-from it, etc. Can't seem to
access this machine directly from her machine, so she doesn't have
direct access (perhaps because of my NTFS file system on this one?)

When she wants to print an Email that she's received, I have her save
the Email as a .eml document in her shared Documents folder. I then
open it on this machine, print it and delete that saved Email.

Where does that deleted file (or any other deleted files) from her
machine go? UNLIKE when I delete them directly from her machine, they
don't end up in the recycle bin, nor do they end up in my recycle bin.
They're just "gone". It's probably no big deal, but I just want to make
sure that I'm not building up a huge cache somewhere on her machine that
will eventually cause problems (her machine only has a 2GB drive, about
2/3rds full).
